Hot Tub Spa Prices
What Influences Hot Tub Spa Prices?
Many people who shop for a hot tub wonder - what influences
hot tub spa prices? In most cases, the primary influence is the
quality level of the spa, including its construction, insulation, and
component parts. It is important to remember, though, that the cost of
owning hot tubs goes beyond the purchase prices and sometimes the best deal
is not the tub with the lowest price tag.
There is nobody who always offers the best prices on hot tubs, so don’t fall
for advertising claims to the contrary. The best purchase prices are often
on a hot tub that seems a good deal at the start, but quickly turns into a
spa nightmare. Perhaps the shell fades and looks worn after a year, or maybe
the insulation is thin and allows too much heat to escape. Other examples of
low priced deals are spas with pumps that are too small, heaters that are
too weak, or water filtration and sanitation systems that can’t keep up with
the amount you use the tub. Regardless of the reason, be very careful about
selecting spas with the lowest price tags because you are very likely to end
up with higher costs and more headaches in the end.
At the other extreme, though, are exorbitantly high price tags on hot tubs
that have extra frills and hot tub and home
spa accessories that are not necessarily good deals. For example, it is
not unusual to find a high priced model of a home spa that includes a
stereo, aromatherapy, or even a TV screen that emerges from one side. Even
if a retailer offers the best prices on those particular features, it does
not mean a spa with these features will be the best deal in the long run.
Perhaps the motor that drives an accessory is weak, or maybe a specific
component such as the hot tub heater is
sensitive to moisture and is prone to failure. Suddenly that good deal on a
luxury feature looks more like an expensive bill for repair or replacement.
