What You Should Know About Hot Tub And Spa Reviews
A quick search of the internet will return more hot tub
and spa reviews than you might have thought possible. Some reviews are
more useful than others, though, and because there are no standard rating
criteria for tubs you can’t easily compare one hot tub or spa review to
another one.
Although there are no standard hot tubs rating criteria that take a
comprehensive look at different hot tubs, you can look at some pieces of
home spa reviews and ratings to get at least some idea of how one tub
compares to another. It will take some effort on your part, but if you want
to make direct comparisons among different manufacturers, it is relatively
easy to write down the rating for each key component and evaluate the
figures side by side.
Another problem is that many hot tub reviews are actually written by the
manufacturers rather than by neutral evaluators. Or, some sites post their
ratings of certain home spas because the manufacturer has paid to be
included in the site, either directly or through advertising. Reputable
sites will disclose these details, so look them over carefully to fully
understand what biases may or may not be present on those sites.
If you choose to make comparisons and review tubs yourself, start with the
specifications page for each spa you’re considering. Write down the rating
for things like pump capacity, hot tub heater
wattage, filtration capacity, gallons held, R factor of insulation, and
other measurable items. You will likely have to visit different web sites
for each manufacturer, but it is well worth the time and effort to have key
information all in one place and at your fingertips.
